Panya AI studio

— Our Company

Teaching AI development as a craft, not a course catalog.

Panya AI was built around the belief that real understanding takes time, and that good mentorship makes all the difference.

— Our Story

Where Panya AI began

Panya AI grew out of a small reading group in Bangkok in early 2021. A handful of engineers and researchers who'd been working with machine learning in various industries started meeting regularly to share papers, work through problems, and figure out how to explain these ideas more clearly to colleagues who were curious but new to the field.

Over time, it became clear that what people needed wasn't another set of video lectures or a certification path — it was someone willing to sit with them through the difficult parts. The kind of learning that happens when you submit a project and get a mentor's honest, specific response rather than an automated grade.

Panya — a Thai word for wisdom or knowledge — felt like the right name. Not because we position ourselves as the authority on AI, but because we take the pursuit of understanding seriously. We formalised as a school in 2022, moved to our current office on Ratchadamri Road, and have been running courses ever since.

— Our Mission

What we're here to do

Our mission is to help working professionals build a solid, honest foundation in machine learning and AI development — one that holds up beyond the first project. We do this through structured courses, real project work, and mentors who give careful, individual feedback.

Clarity over complexity

We strip away unnecessary jargon and build from first principles, so the ideas actually stick.

Mentorship as the core service

Every course is shaped around the relationship between the learner and the mentor — not the other way around.

Respect for learners' time

We say clearly how long each course takes. We don't pad content or manufacture urgency.

— The Team

People behind the courses

Small, experienced, and genuinely interested in the work. Our mentors have backgrounds in research, engineering, and applied AI.

AS

Araya Suwannarat

Founder & Lead Instructor

Former ML researcher with eight years in applied data science. Designed the Foundations curriculum and leads the Mentorship Track.

PN

Pichit Nantakarn

Deep Learning Mentor

Built neural network systems for fintech and healthcare in Southeast Asia. Leads the Applied Deep Learning course and code review sessions.

KW

Kannika Wongchai

Curriculum Designer & Mentor

Background in educational design and Python engineering. Responsible for the structure and pacing of all three courses, and mentors Foundations students.

— Standards

How we keep the work honest

These aren't aspirational values printed on a wall. They're the actual commitments that shape what we put in front of learners.

Curriculum reviewed every six months

Machine learning moves quickly. We review course content twice a year to ensure the material reflects current tools and practices, not three-year-old tutorials.

Mentors with active field experience

Our mentors maintain active involvement in the field — through research, consulting, or personal projects — so the feedback they give is grounded in current practice.

Learner data handled carefully

Personal information is used only to deliver the service. We do not sell data or share it with third parties for marketing. Full details in our Privacy Policy.

Written feedback within five working days

Every project submission receives a written response from a mentor within five working days. If something takes longer, you'll hear from us before the deadline.

Transparent enrolment terms

Course fees, what's included, and what we ask of learners are all written plainly before you enrol. No hidden costs or conditions discovered after payment.

Assessed projects, not just quizzes

Progress is measured through actual work — notebooks, models, and write-ups — not multiple-choice formats that reward memorisation over understanding.

— Our Approach

AI development education built around the learner's actual situation

Most people who come to Panya AI are working professionals — engineers, analysts, product managers — who want to understand machine learning well enough to apply it meaningfully. They're not looking to change careers overnight. They want to build a real skill, at a pace that fits around their existing commitments.

Our three courses are designed with that in mind. Each one specifies upfront how much time it will ask of you. Each one is built around real project work rather than passive consumption of content. And each one connects the learner with a mentor who gives specific, written feedback on that work.

Working from Bangkok gives us particular insight into the needs of learners across Southeast Asia, where AI adoption in industry is accelerating faster than the supply of people with solid foundational knowledge. Our courses are conducted in English and are open to learners anywhere in the world, but we understand the regional context in a way that shapes how we teach.

We're not a large platform. We keep cohorts small so that mentors can give each learner proper attention. That's a deliberate choice, not a limitation we're working to fix.
